I was born in Brooklyn and lived in Brooklyn or Manhattan until I was 30. Now I live in the woods, near Canada, and I’m happy with life.

Any New Yorker or ex-New Yorker knows EXACTLY what Cruz meant with his stupid “NY values” crack. You know the slogan “don’t mess with Texas”?
We New Yorkers are the same way. Never mind the limp-ass excuses that it was about politics. As we say down home, “I was born at night, but it wasn’t last night”.
Spend your money somewhere else, Mr. Cruz.
I’ve lived in the city and now way upstate as well. I support Cruz. He’s spot on. What are considered NY values today are not my values. I’m stuck here until retirement.
