Only his millions of voters like him
Not near enough “millions”.
This AP poll is of the general electorate. This is the group Trump will face in the fall should he be the nominee. So far however, he has faced a different electorate: Republican primary voters. In some states, these voters are limited to Republican registered voters, while other states allow independents to vote in the primaries as well. Trump has a dedicated base of support on this primary electorate of 35-40%. Against a divided field of several other candidates, this has allowed him to win more delegates than anyone else, even though he has yet to win over 50% in any state, and his over vote total sits at 37%.
Trump has enough popularity among Republican primary voters to win primaries and delegates, yet he is unpopular among the Republican primary voters who support other candidates (Cruz, Rubio, Kasich) as well as among the broader electorate. For a Republican to win the presidency, they have to unite the Republican party, plus get a majority of independents. It looks very unlikely Trump will be able to do this.
They are starting to like him less.
When are the trumpers going to admit that the Donald is leading them down a garden path that ends in hell.
Hell as in Hillary.
If the good Lord’s willing,we can stop this creep from getting the nomination.
Speaking of creep ...
It has long been my theory that Donald Trump had cast an eye on Megyn Kelly long ago... if you know what I mean and I think you do.
That is why he was so devastated when she actually asked him a hard question.
It was not just because he can’t stand strong women, although he can’t. It was because he was a lover scorned.
Why do you think he’s kept up this infantile tweet war for months, he even tweeted about her yesterday.
In an interview with Katie Couric, Megyn skirted the issue of Trump’s stalking her but she did admit this:
“Hed call me after a segment that he enjoyed and say how great it was. He would send me clippings about myself like, news clippings that he would sign, Donald Trump.
It was nice. I appreciated that he was reaching out. There were some other gestures that he made that, in retrospect, I understand them better. I think he was trying to curry favor because he understood that he was gonna be running for president.”
No, Megyn, he was trying to curry favor because he had the hots for you and you scorned him.
He’ll never give it up.
*Primary* voters....
Don’t underestimate his dis-likeability among the general electorate. It’s real.
