Trump’s ‘Whining’ Begins To Wear Thin
The Washington Times ^ | April 6, 2016 | David Sherfinski

Trump’s ‘Whining’ Begins To Wear Thin April 6 David Sherfinski.

Donald Trump’s presidential campaign blamed his loss in Wisconsin’s primary Tuesday on “illegal” tactics by chief rival Sen. Ted Cruz, attempting to dismiss his disappointing finish as the result of dirty tricks but instead earning accusations that he’s “whining.”

Mr. Trump and his advisers said Mr. Cruz illegally colluded with a political action committee and is a “Trojan horse” for the GOP establishment — a comment the Texas senator waved aside, saying it was more proof that Mr. Trump is struggling and voters are tiring of his brash approach to politics.

“Donald has no solutions to the problems we’re facing,” Mr. Cruz told reporters Wednesday. “He likes to yell and scream and insult and curse, and his statement last night was consistent with that.”

His post-Wisconsin accusations are just the latest instance of Mr. Trump excusing a poor performance by saying he was done in by dirty deeds. After losing the Iowa caucuses, Mr. Trump accused the Cruz campaign of frightening voters and spreading false rumors that fellow candidate Ben Carson was quitting the race.

The combative approach to a loss is yet another departure from standard political practice, said Rick Hasen, a political scientist at the University of California, Irvine School of Law.

“I think Trump is a terrible whiner,” Mr. Hasen said. “He’s always making excuses when he loses as opposed to being a gracious loser, which I think we’ve seen [from] Cruz and Clinton and Sanders and Rubio. Usually they [say] ‘I congratulate my opponent on a hard-fought race’ — that’s a more typical thing that you hear. Not ‘they cheated, it’s not fair, there are too many people running against me’ or anything like that,” Mr. Hasen said.

The less-than-gracious approach to losing has so far....

How can this writer make the claim that Trump has no solutions? Jeez, how idiotic does one have to be to make such a statement?

Never Trump is just throwing you know what on the wall to try to distract from New York. Cruz has a couple bad weeks coming up and there is nothing they can do about.

My FRiend, I’m more of an American than the Great Deceiver, Divider and Destroyer currently occupying the Presidency.

While he was growing up the most beautiful sound he heard was the call to Muslim prayer,
for me it was lying in my bed at night in the Boston area and being able to pull in my favorite underdogs, the 1965 Cleveland Indians, on my newfangled ‘transistor radio’.

Similar to Obama, I will stand with the Christians if the political winds shift in an ugly direction, for I remember those joyful North Carolinians I caroled with, on both sides of the tracks, in 1959.

Does Obama recall attending a 1960 JFK election campaign rally in Conneticut?

Was he frightened, as we were, glued to his black and white TV when in 1962 Kennedy spoke to the nation during the Cuban Missile Crisis?

Does he recall crying and going to the church to pray when we were let out early from school on Nov.23,1965?

Does he remember how we were taught in school how wonderful, exceptional and great is America?

I lived in the US from 1959 to 1967, from the time I was 8 until 16, a most formative part of a young person’s life in which he comes to identify with his nation.

My Father brought the family back to a country I didn’t know, that I didn’t identify with. The transition was likely helped by our return coinciding with the Canadian Centennial when Patriotism and the retelling of History was at a peak...

...but I always kept a warm, loving flame alive in my breast for the USofA. I still followed current events in the US and my appreciation for the nation matured and increased.

Then came that horrible day in September and my warm, loving flame became a white hot torch that has not ceased burning to this day.

I hope you understand me a bit better now and know why I will not stop commenting, why I will not stop caring for America and for the sake of Western Civilization will not cease involving myself with, promoting and embracing, the greatest nation the world has ever seen, the USA.

I understand my FRiend.
My comments were harsh, for that I apologize.
We both share a bond against evil that walks this world, separate we can never win.
Only as FRiends do we better our odds.

Let’s see, “Trump wearing thin” and then today “Trump is taking a week off”, the last time we heard “taking a week off” within 2 weeks Carson DROPPED OUT.

As the next States Primary and Trump keeps descending (yep, even in NY, where a lot of conservative GOP voters are NOT in NYC), look for him to quit too. A narcissistic ego-maniac would be hard to suffer such humiliation to come in 2nd to Cruz and tell us to go F’ourselves.

Trump has had a bad two weeks but is still standing? He is? Just today he decided to take a week off from the campaign.

No kidding! I can’t believe how Ted can climb into bed with the establishment elites and no one cares. Must be that magical flute!

YOUR POST:

Trump is a rock solid conservative!!!!

Or not.

and another one of YOUR POSTS...

I’m actually thinking about Bernie. I doubt I’m alone. Trump is just a crappy person. Where is Reagan when you need him and the eleventh commandment?

maybe you belong on another site where you can discuss how much better Bernie is than Trump. You have some serious issues.

You have seriously lost your mind. Trump is not a friend of the common man. He may at some point atone for his nastiness but that ain’t anytime soon. You swallowed the Trump’s nonsense hook line and sinker. That is “issues”. Trump has been in how many parties since ‘87? Not just two, not even three. Six. When was he last a democrat? 2009 when he changed to Republican. And did not stay a republican. Did he give to Harry Reid? Andrew Cuomo? Bunches of others. He’s is 70 years old and the VP choice is critical.

Bought a bunch a casino owner’s dreams of fame and fortune...that ever worked out for you? Even when the warts were pointed out.

Been on FR for 16 years, don’t intend to leave just because some mousy one wants to pretend they have game.

Be a loser for Trump. Just you, others have some heartfelt reasoned logic, which you failed to present, so this is just a mirror problem...look in the mirror.

Don’t mean squat to me.

DK

Got any better game?

Trump is a big sissy. Look how he’s continued to harass a newswoman who asked him a hard question.

His supporters are flat out delusional.

How can they listen to that concession speech and justify it.

It was horrible.

It would be discouraging but I remind myself that most of the people in the country dislike Donald Trump and that he will not get the nomination.

Mice are not known for their boldness...

But seriously, a case can be easily made that it is in Trump’s best interest to have the democrats win. Even from the beginning, and since the nastiness is increasing, it may not have been his intent at first, but certainly may be the outcome.

Trump as president...he was surprised at the delegate process at the convention. Isn’t one of the first rules of making a deal to: know the rules...written or not.

He is being out dealt at the convention, and the MASTER at the art of the deal is whining?

This is not a difficult situation to see. I believe it should really be harder to be deluded, there is so much clear info out there.

You come on here saying about Trump is not conservative and then in the next breath you are saying that if he is the nominee you will vote for Bernie. Really. Any republican is better than the democrat nominee. I think you are an ignorant self righteous asshole. If Jim wants to zot me for saying that, I will wear that badge with honor!!

I would NEVER request you to go anywhere else. I like listening to people that don’t agree with me. I know what is reasoned discourse and what is bullying crap.

You are willing to vote for someone that is playing a siren song...just what you want to hear. Which is fine. Sirens played to sailors and wreckage was the result. Donald Trump uses abrasive and obnoxious rhetoric. It causes voter suppression. Doubt it? You use abrasive and obnoxious techniques to support your candidate. It causes voter suppression. Doubt it?

Donald Trump has no consistency of philosophy over the decades, years, months and sometimes days. His treatment of women will be Trumpeted when the nominees go head to head. “You know, it really doesn`t matter what (the media) write as long as you`ve got a young and beautiful piece of ass.” will make a great campaign slogan doncha think? How about: “Excuse me, you dropped to your knees?” Trump interrupted.

“Yes,” Roderick responded.

“That must be a pretty picture, you dropping to your knees,” Trump said.

Tell me a Republican that could recover from those comments...and there are more just in that category. Tell me a Republican presidential candidate that could have been a democrat, republican, independent, and a republican again, just in the last eight years?

Donald Trump has bragged about buying politicians and in one of the more humorous campaign moments showed the actual cell number of a politician seeking favor. People complain about politicians taking money, but without people like Donald Trump they would not get any money (while selling the rest of us out). Why do you believe a casino owner will giving you what he promises? The four bankruptcies are instructive in what he said. He did not go bankrupt, his companies did. He used his name to sell other people who did lose money on his bankruptcies...his name, but not his money. I won’t go into eminent domain, that is too easy.

Donald Trump does not have a history of being a republican, by actions or by party choice. He has a history of alienating people who disagree, even those he will need as allies. He has a problem with understanding what this campaign means...he did not have a ground game for the second vote? And he claims to be a great deal maker? This was not a difficult nor hidden process. Extend that to EVERY MAJOR promise he has made. He won’t do the legwork to get it done. He certainly did not hire the best and the brightest soon enough in this campaign to guarantee victory on first ballot. MAJOR NEWBIE MISTAKE...and not from a lack of money or access.

I’m conservative. Bernie is a non issue as he has the Trump problem without the money. He is not a democrat. He does not have a shot. Trump is not a republican but is only still in because he has access to things only a billionaire can command. Corruption.

All of a sudden, I see the whole republican party acting like three year olds going into a presidential election.

I doubt anyone could articulate enough to charge me with being ignorant, you would have to make that case, and from the above I believe you would have trouble. Self-righteous?
No one has convinced me the above is wrong. Calling me a self righteous A hole is interesting but that is where the Trump campaign has gone. It is just a tactic, but the real question would be, do you use that tactic when it is appropriate and leave that hammer in your tool-belt when you need a screwdriver.

I hope that Jim Robinson does not ZOT you over this. This is a religious fervor, not a rational one, and I would hope that you get many more years of enjoyment out of this site. I will.

But there are things you should takeaway from this post.

Reasoned people believe Donald Trump is a losing candidate even if he wins the nomination, and it is an easily seen beforehand for articulable reasons.

Reasoned people can believe and articulate that Donald Trump is not a conservative, a republican in history or deed, cannot stand a simple process that he cannot use money power or influence to muck with the fair playing field.

I won’t ask you to examine your own positions on this, that is strictly up to you. Name calling, invective, and histrionics does not work as a tactic on me. It is a poor substitute for reason.

The reason you should listen is the fact that I am not alone. Reagan’s eleventh commandment was there for a reason, when it is broken...republicans lose. Trump broke it with a tactic he overuses...”counter punching”. I believe many of those were also low blows. Others do to. You will need them later, but they may be gone.

Never Trump

DK

Cruz needs to get out of the race. There is no way he is going to win:
Trump Delegate Count:

752 + 91 (New York) = 843
847 + 100 (Connecticut, Maryland, Delaware, Pa., RI) = 943
947 + 10 (Indiana) = 953
957 + 36 (Nebraska) = 989
993 + 34 (West Virginia) = 1023
1027 + 10 (Oregon) = 1033
1037 + 13 (Washington) = 1046
1050 + 100 (California) = 1146
1150 + 51 (New Jersey) = 11997
1201 + 10 (New Mexico) = 1207
1211 + 29 (South Dakota) = 1236

Try to do that with Cruz. Cruz is a Uniparty/GOPe/Bush Family Puppet. At best Cruz owes the UniParty/GOPe/Bush Family big time.
