And what does that have to do with the fact that the only intention of Kasich and Cruz is to stop Trump from winning the nomination outright even if they can’t win themselves?

The same as it was in 2012 when folks like me scrambled to support whomever could stop Romney to avoid a certain disaster in 2012. Gingrich, Santorum, Paul had no chance of stopping him, but collectively (until about Wisconsin) they might have been able to if there were better funding for Gingrich and Santorum early on.

What you are describing is not "winning the nomination outright" but winning on the first ballot, two different things. Cruz will have enough delegates at the convention to make a serious challenge, once non-binding, released and uncommitted candidates are in.

Even if you are a Trump supporter, Cruz' presence keeps the GOP-E from running one of their own as the only anti-Trump option. Should the people of California be given NO OPPORTUNITY to vote for someone other than Trump?

Whatever the reason that Trump, Cruz and Kasich are running, it is up to those three to persuade people to trust their vote with themselves. Trump has not yet closed the deal. He might well do it soon as NY and the other northeastern states are friendly terrain. He also needs to build up more discipline in his campaign so he doesn't have two more weeks like his last two weeks; he can only do taht if he continues to be challenged.

Thanks Doc for standing up for us Californians who have to wait another two months to have our voices heard.

Once the numbers show that it is impossible for Cruz to win the nomination and he is fall behind Trump, he needs to drop out.

Just like he advised Kasich to do.

I am describing winning outright, not going to the convention and winning at the convention.

Cruz has sold his soul to the GOPe and will do their bidding.

The GOPe tried running a bunch of their candidates and they were crushed so they had to turn to Cruz!

And they are keeping in Kasich as a chance for them to steal the nomination from both Trump and Cruz!

So, if Kasich is chosen at the convention, will Cruz supporters support him?
