Sad news. He was one of the greats. I don’t listen to country music much anymore, but when I did, he was one of my favorites. His string of hits from the late 60’s to mid 70’s were great recordings.

To me, Haggard was the most authentic country singer/performer of my generation. Listening to “Silver Wings” as I type this. Will go to his part in “Pancho and Lefty” next.
