Alternative for E-Bay purchases?

We go to our credit union twice a month and use money in our account to get a gift card from them. Because we have an account there, they do not charge us a fee. Then we use the gift card for any on-line purchases as well as to purchase groceries, gas, etc. On occasion we also use our local Kroger grocery which also builds our point total there for discounts on our gas.

As a side issue, this also means that we also do not spend money for anything on credit. Also have an AMEX card but it is for emergency only and also has to be paid by the end of the month.

Almost any secular company today will have something that someone in the faith mainstream considers naughty.

I try to look at it as, does God want this purchase. God does not bring the dealings even of the wicked (whoever that might be) to an immediate screeching halt, partly because He wants to keep a foothold in their situation. It’s hard to bless something that’s been simply extinguished.

A better approach might be something in the vein of, by all means write these people but explain that you know they are being leaned on by folks with narrow, destructive agendas, and you would like to offer something special in counterbalance to that — your blessings for a prospered business.

It might be spurned — or it might be greeted with surprise that they had ever heard a proposition other than acid condemnation from the “religious set.”
