What is this nifty new appliance? I am a kitchen gadget/small appliance junkie. I still haven’t gotten a sous vide cooker, but want one.
It’s a Fagor Lux Multicooker. I bought it, on sale, when my Cuisinart multi cooker died. But, this is really nothing like the Cuisinart.
It slow cooks, pressure cooks, cans, steams, makes yogurt....and a bunch of other things that I haven’t even figured out, yet!
I’d planned to slow cook the (first) pot roast I made, then saw a youtube on pressure cooking it. I thought...hmmmm....how good will a pressure cooked pot roast be. It was amazing. Hubby said one of THE best ever.
Next thing I’m trying is a brisket, then beef short ribs. I’m just amazed that I can make an excellent pot roast - that used to take half a day, or more (if slow cooked) - in less than an hour.
