No, friend, I was telling you how NJ folks where I grew up say Long Island.

It is Lawn Guyland. Trump came very close to that pronunciation tonight.

Trump’s accent is not foreign to me at all. Neither are his use of phrases—very NY to me.

I grew up seeing the skyline of NYC from my town. Straight shot on Rt.3 or Rt. 46.

Accents bother you? I was born in NY State, left to go to college in Massachusetts, after that lived in New Hampshire and California. Now my accents are a mess. But I carry on just fine.
Donald Trump has homes everywhere. His speaking doesn’t reflect any particular accent.
