Bethpage ought to be a real show. Nassau is alive for Trump.
Usually we have Dems coming to the primary and being hurt and surprised that they can’t vote. Last night we had them at a Republican meeting, two weeks before the primary, asking if there was any way they could vote for Trump. We told them they could still help in other ways but they were mad. They wanted to vote.
I haven’t been there in many years, but from what I remember about Long Island, I bet that there is a LOT of Trump support out there on the island!
I remember flying our twin Cessna into the old Fairchild Republic Airport which I guess technically is East Farmingdale but really close to Bethpage. For a midwest kid it was always a thrill flying over NYC and out to the island, which looked and felt more like home. Except with lots more people ;-)
