What a beautiful pearl collection, Dolly! I’m sure the pieces you make out of them are lovely. The treasure rope sounds like a great idea.
I’ve been collecting vintage jewelry for some time now, and while I don’t specialize in pearls I have a few old necklaces, especially the ones with the smaller pearls and sterling filigree clasps.
I noticed that you collect vintage jewelry.
I have a lot from my great aunt, aunts, and mom that I want to sell. I don’t want to do a garage sale b/c of potential theft as I would have to have it outside (I don’t want anyone in my home or our family home). Selling each piece on craigslist would be very time consuming. I found an antique store not far away that wants to look at it, but I suspect they won’t pay much for each piece as they are going to want to make money.
Most of the pieces are from the 60-90s, but there are some that are from the 30-40s or possibly older.
Do you have any suggestions to how/where to sell?
