They are fun browsing on a cold, lazy day ;) I need to remember to get back to them. I learned everything I know about canning and food storage from that group. Some amazing people frequented those threads too.
They seemed more down to earth, more like farm people and survivors of the depression than the current prepping threads. Not as high tech, not as much of the paranoia. Just plain common sense.
I was afraid of losing them if/when the internet got taken away, so I kept a copy of all the threads ;) They are in with my ‘survival’ files.

10,000 posts and beyond on those threads. I think perusing them should be a welcome break from the cruzpocalypse on the front pages of FR. I hardly dare venture out of Trump Family Rally threads.
