IS THE CRUZ CAMPAIGN MORAL?
WND ^ | 4/4/2016 | David Kupelian

Posted on 04/04/2016 8:10:36 PM PDT by BlackFemaleArmyColonel

Here’s a simple question that desperately needs an answer.

Donald Trump won the Arizona primary in a landslide, 47.1 percent to Ted Cruz’s 24.9 percent, giving the GOP front-runner all 58 of that winner-take-all state’s delegates.

Right now, the Cruz campaign is engaged in a “furious” on-the-ground campaign in Arizona – and in other states won by Trump, including Louisiana, Georgia and Tennessee – to convert Trump delegates into Cruz delegates on a second ballot, should there be a contested GOP convention this summer.

The question is: Is this moral?

Trump calls it “crooked as hell.” But let’s back up a little.

As the Washington Examiner reported Monday, in a story headlined “Cruz snaring Trump’s Arizona delegates” and posted in the lead position of the Drudge Report:

Sen. Ted Cruz is out-hustling Donald Trump and looks set to ensure many Arizona delegates will defect to him in a convention floor fight.

The Texas senator, who ever since Iowa has played a stealthy ground game in contrast to Trump’s chaotic populism, is taking steps to snatch the Republican presidential nomination from The Donald at the convention in July.

The New York businessman easily won last month’s Arizona primary taking 47 percent to Cruz’s 25 percent, scooping up all 58 of the state’s delegates. That’s nearly 5 percent of the 1,237 Trump needs for the nomination, and they’re tied to him on the first ballot.

But Cruz, exploiting deep opposition to Trump among grass-roots Republicans, has been far more active in Arizona than Trump, insiders say. He’s recruiting candidates for the available 55 delegate slots, that along with the other three delegate positions filled by party leaders, would be allowed to vote for him in a multi-ballot contested convention.

So I guess from your post that you don’t care that Trump is not engaged in the battle AGAINST THE GOPe to name the delegates to the convention. You’re happy to let the Cruz folks bear the burden of this fight against the GOPe—as long as you can complain when the Cruz folks defeat the forces of the GOPe.

Awfully LOW ENERGY CAMPAIGN you Trumpsters have going there.

you know I just realized

Cruz has set the standard trying to presteal Trump delegates after the first vote

So fair is fair Trump should do just take Cruz delegates after the first vote

so all you Cruisers

can Trump just offer them money?

he's got enough .....if Trump needs a couple hundred delegates how about Trump just offered each delegates 50k to 100 each for there vote?

.. hell with Trumps money he could offer maybe even a million a vote

fair is fair Cruzer ...no loyalty standard of ethics

Really? Cruz went from being a free trade zealot to a 'fair trade' when he saw that Trump was getting support for that position.

Funny, how he isn't defending free trade anymore!

I hope if Cruz is the nominee, he loses so badly that he won’t be able to indict his nastiness ever again. And yes I pray trump goes 3rd party so I can vote for him. I’ll write his name in anyway, but 3rd party is better and a great chance for trump to win. Of course trump will get 1273 so he will get the nomination and Cruz will once again be a loser of a man he is.

I call total B***. Trump started his business with a million dollar loan that he paid back. Stop with the lies they diminish you. Trump’s support is only growing as he is heard. Thousand wait for hours at every rally, all across the Nation. You are off base about Trumps positions as well. He was not a political animal, Republican for many years, got angry, voted Dem for a few years then back to Republican.

Cruz isn't in a battle with the GOPe he is doing their bidding!

They are all supporting him,

If he were against the GOPe he would get behind Trump and reject the support that the GOPe has thrown behind him.

But he is power mad and has no principals.

Cruz’s Bible omits “Thou shalt not steal” from the commandments.

So Cruz is battling them by hiring them to run his campaign, be his campaign lawyer and taking their money to run. Yeh right.

maybe the GOPe should do this for good old Jeb... why not

I think it would be quite easy for the GOPe to make sure that every delegates to the convention after the first vote...they then all vote Jeb..... what's the difference Cruisers.... what is the difference?...

That's right there is no difference

the GOPe can make sure every delegate after the first vote ...votes the way the GOPe wants and puts in there boy Jeb.....

And Cruisers and you've got no room to complain or whine if the GOPe pull the same crap on you and your boy Cruz

Remember the story of the tortoise and the hare - Trump has jumped out to an early lead, but it will be Cruz that crosses the finish line at the convention.

It is not smart at all. He is stealing votes from people who made the time to vote. It is immoral and should be a crime. I do not care who does it.

More precisely: Cruz went from campaigning for Obamatrade enabling TPA with PAUL RYAN to parroting Trump on unfair trade. Principled? Conservative? Anti-Establishment? LOL.
