If Trump gets there, I’ll be sprint down to vote for him. I won’t have a second thought about it. Plenty of upside there.

It’s not only moral, it’s smart, shows great planning abilities and organization, and shows an understanding of politics, elections and the government that equals Trump’s understanding of real estate.

The delegates HAVE to change their votes on the second ballot or you have a convention deadlock where no one gets a majority. Why would you not want your candidate to do everything legal to sway the delegates to his side on the second ballot?

Trump doesn’t pretend to walk on water and neither do his supporters in stark contrast to Cruz and his acolytes

Many times here I’m told by Cruz bots he’s more Christian and more conservative as are they which is why they support the man and how can I purport to be either and support Trump

I do not think like that and nor do I think by default that piousness or political cleverness make a great leader

I have doubts about Cruz veracity

Trump is respected by me more for his skills and candor and being beholden to no one than how less a sinner he is

I’m watching him on Hannity now

He just shoots honest from the hip with no prompts

I like that and that gorgeous wife sitting next to him is a bonus

So to have someone come by after and try and solicit those elected representatives that are supposed to represent the people that elected them to be the unfaithful to those voters

You don't understand conventions. Candidates attempting to sway the delegates is how they have always operated. Unless the law in your state binds the delegates to vote a certain way, they are free agents, free to be lobbied by anyone. Both you and your candidate have the right to lobby the delegates or support people to run as delegates.

Very few states bind their delegates beyond the first ballot, because if a majority winner isn't found on the first ballot, some delegates will HAVE to change their vote to produce one on the second.

You always strike the lowest, most crass, note in any thread.
If you think its smart to sell your soul to win an election you have probably sold yours a long time ago.

GOP keeps this up, a LOT of people who voted in the Republican primaries will be voting third party in November. You can count on it.

I suspect they will. Because their attachment to the GOP is fickle. It's based on the person, not the policy or principle.

But if it’s Trump, a can of orange juice or a waffle, I’m voting for any of those over Hillary. All three are far superior to her. :-)

I saw what they GOPe did in Mississippi. I wouldn’t support such corruption. Personally, I don’t believe the GOPe is any better than the democrats.

If all candidates are not treated fairly, we’ll see what happens.

Here’s a little lesson in decency for you.

There are some things that are legal, but decent people instinctively know are wrong. They are morally the wrong thing to do.

Like cheating on your spouse for instance. Or not overcharging the elderly widow for house repairs, simply because you can.

Apparently, Lyin Ted can’t win the votes to get him the nomination; therefore, he uses another man’s hard won delegates as a way to get him what he can’t win for himself. Thus, cheating the people who didn’t vote for him and did vote for the other guy, not to mention the other candidate.

It’s just wrong.

I know you Cruz supporters haven’t the slightest notion of decency, but it does matter.

Your cheating, lying “true conservative” will never sit in the Oval Office because of the way he acted in this election.

You’re going to reap what you’ve sown.

If they are tied come the convention, then a runoff would be justified, but if one of them is ahead, they win, first ballot.

Considering that, why would we assume that a Cruz presidency would be anything but the same old corrupt DC game?

I don't know about that. When he stood there filibustering on Obamacare, that didn't look like corruption to me. I still remember the media playing the video of him reading to his kids and making fun of him. He didn't care.

For me it comes down to what's left of the Republic. It's either Trump or Cruz or a banana peel before Hillary. It will likely be too late to reverse course after another four years with Hillary. That's far more unacceptable whether I have a disagreements with Trump or Cruz.

I think the founders would choose Cruz.
I think they would disqualify trump after asking him 5 questions about intent, vision, and beliefs.

You are currently experiencing something called ‘Awe’. It’s a human thing and though I don’t understand it in this case I admire your fervor.

If trump gets 1237 these arguments are moot. If he doesn’t he will likely lose.

It’s a campaign, you can win the battle and lose the war.

He cares about what *I* WANT.

I heard him on the radio today. He said we need to talk about issues. He never does.

It is Trump that brings all the issues to the table. Cruz is now just a GOPe yap dog. He would have no clue how to get the economy rolling and the national debt reduced.

“Of this you can be sure: If Trump goes into the convention with less than 1,237...but a clear plurality...and does not win the nomination, all of his supporters will follow him to a 3rd party run.

And will vote against the Republican Candidate in ALL down-ballot races.

Tens of millions of them.

And you can take that to the bank”

Sure can!

Agreed 100000%!!

SHRILLARY! as POTUS and a return of the scumbag in chief from Arkansas who managed to get impeached for defiling an INTERN in the Oval Office back at the White House is basically incomprehensible.
