Roger Stone: Donald Trump Will Lose Wisconsin
breitbart.com ^

Veteran political strategist Roger Stone warns GOP frontrunner Donald Trump will lose Wisconsin, but says the question remains whether or not Trump will walk away with any delegates before heading into the final stretch of primaries.

Stone joined Executive Chairman Stephen K. Bannon on Breitbart News Daily to point out that, even though Trump has been leading the pack for eight months, he has yet to seal up the GOP’s nomination and may only have a mere 100 days to take on the Clinton machine before November’s vote. Why didn’t Trump lock it down two months ago?

Stone says the nomination battle “was never going to end in March” and the Republican establishment “will never roll over.”

“And therefore you’re now shifting to a different phase in the campaign. You’re right. They need to do things differently,” Stone said.

They need to crack down and understand the process and have a strategy in each one of these individual states. They have brought on the best convention manager in the country, my ex-partner Paul Manafort. He’s enormously skilled and talented. They need to let him do what he does and I think they can get to their 1,237 number. And then they can go fight in rules and credentials, where they’re still going to try to steal it from him, in my opinion.
Stone added that while he thinks Trump will lose Wisconsin, he can still win a majority of delegates in the 16 upcoming primaries.

A lot of people thought that if a candidate carries a state they win.

a lot of people think if a candidate gets close to 1237 or above win the nomination.

What this election cycle shows for all to see is that the GOP is the puppet master and they pick the nominee.

That has not been so blatant ever.

Why didn’t Trump lock it down two months ago?

Because he's not conservative by any stretch of the imagination?

Might have a good chance to take back delegates as he gets closer to 1237

Cruz is cruising for a victory.

Cruz knows it is virtually impossible for him to get 1237 delegates.

He's hoping he will win on 2nd ballot after preventing Trump from getting 1237 delegates.

Unfortunately for Cruz, there is no way the GOP is going to pick a guy with less delegates after denying the nomination to a candidate with more.

It is at this point the GOP hopes it can pick someone from the establishment.

Neither is Ted. He is an establishment Bush Republican.

His conservative act is just that, an act.

Unless, of course, doing so puts him over 1,237.

I think you are correct.

And he is saying to Trump supporters, if you don't turn out in great numbers, we will lose by a nose.

The issue isn’t if Trump loses WI, the issue is what States will Cruz take next week when we come to the North East states.

But it is doubtful those rules will still apply at the convention, for the GOP plans to change all the rules.

It is getting increasingly obvious that Trump also won't get to 1237 delegates.

So it is smart for Cruz to get as many delegates as possible.

You do realize the ONLY people who believe this nefarious plot to take over the Convention and pick a new candidate are Trump supporters.

To prove a point I keep reading about all these Trump delegates turning into Cruz delegates. Haven't heard any stories about Trump or Cruz delegates turning into GOPe delegates.

A Cruz delegate is a GOPe delegate!

You Cruz supporters are supporting the same guy who the GOPe is now supporting!

I kept hearing “pollitics is rough business” when Trump was on the winning side of some of the games. Now, not so much I guess...

Donald J. Trump has not wrapped up the Republican nomination because about half of the Republicans have an unfavorable opinion of Donald J. Trump. Trump can’t get the bandwagon rolling because nobody who is not already on it wants to jump on it.

All you guys: Trumpsters and Cruzers alike, better practice grabbing your ankles now.

There WILL be a contested convention.

The result will be a Kasich/Romney or Romney/Kasich ticket.

Romney is registered as running for president.

Get used to the idea.

I have been thinking that Trump is once again playing 3-D chess but giving the appearance that he is not.

There is no chance that Trump was unaware of what Cruz has been doing in Louisiana and Arizona. Roger Stone says he hasn't been talking with the Trump campaign but I don't believe it for a minute. Stone used to be a partner of Manafort and is keenly aware of how these arcane state rules can be used to steal delegates. And I imagine the Manafort hire has been planned for quite a while.

The question for me is what did Stone and Trump hope to gain by letting the Cruz campaign get its hopes up about LA and AZ.

And what did Stone and Trump hope to gain by appearing dumb to the RNC (because that is exactly what they did by appearing to be unaware of the fine print in delegate count rules in LA and AZ).
