Bold might be a better word than shrewd. The GOP has been mostly silent on this, a sign of real weakness. I don't blame the Dem AGs for pushing this garbage since they know they have no opposition from the supposed opposition party. And, Obama has had time to pack the courts with his minions (once again, due to a weak GOP mostly refusing to throw up some roadblocks), so there is a chance of some success here. This is what happens when you have people like the Bushes and Romneys at the top of the party - elistist twits that don't know how to fight.
