Does Ryan get the nomination if he loses his primary challenge? I hope so.
The only guys I would vote for as a compromise candidate would be Jeff Sessions, Jim DeMint, possibly John Thune. Tom Coburn would be a good choice as well.

Good point. The guy going up against him is not going to be a pushover. He looks like a formidable candidate who knows all about Ryan’s political duplicity.
His status in office has no bearing on the nomination process, except it shows he’s a loser
