I was thinking earlier he had a different (new) tie on today - I’d call it cerise (those of you in Loma Linda (none on this thread) - Hot Pink) in color.

The Beatles are my all time favorite. I saw them in 1965 at the INDIANA State Fair. $5.00 tickets on the 13 row. They were amazing!

“The Beatles are my all time favorite.”

Ditto, that. Do I see a trend? :)

Beatles tickets were about $6.50 when they came through on their last tour in 1966. I was too young for it then. But I remember seeing major concerts throughout the 1970s for under $10 a seat. Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, ELO, etc.

Back in those days, they did concerts to sell records. These days, it's the other way around. Most bands make very little on recordings but make their living with live performances.

Hi, freepersup!

The trip I'm taking involves the Illinois Route 66 Association; it's a two-day tour where you drive your own vehicle with about 200 of your closest friends, stopping off at designated Route 66 points of interest! When I took the tour in 2014, Lincoln was our stop for the night; Sunday morning the college opened the museum specially for us to tour before continuing on our journey.

Not sure what this year's tour will bring, but in 2014 I stopped at:

The Arch & Museum of Westward Expansion-not part of the tour; I went a day early just to do it (yes, I rode the elevator to the top of the Arch!)
RT 66 Hall of Fame and Museum
McLean Truck Stop
Village of Atlanta (saw the Hot Dog Muffler Man and the clock tower!)
Funk's Grove
Springfield (didn't see ANY Lincoln stuff, which is why I want to spend a few days on my own!)
Bloomington

Also made it to Ted Drewes!

I was going to take the Mississippi Paddleboat tour, but the river was too high and it was canceled. Might try again this year.

Yes, your statement was just fine. I’m sensing that he’s sensing or seeing some changes and a possible win. I don’t think he wants or wants us to get over confident, but what he has said the past day or two, it seems the polls may be changing from last week.

Fingers crossed and prayers up that he wins the state tomorrow. Because of the delegate distribution, he’ll get at least some if he loses (the districts he wins); but, like I’ve said before, I want him to win the state so Lyin’ Ted doesn’t have a bragging rights for winning the state (Ted will probably give another one of his speeches that drones on forever that makes it sounds like he won even if he lost).

Maybe the lame stream press were conducting there usual psyops bs and Trump had good intel saying the opposite, but remained cautiously optimistic, and projected it that way. I guess that is what I see in Wisconsin.

All these experts wonking on about how Trump has to change his tone. Oh really? He’s crushing his opponents. 17 candidates... now 2.5. It looks to me like Trump’s strategy is BRILLIANT! Woot! Woot!

In Bloomington, there’s an exit where they have some of the actual Route 66 preserved. I think it runs about 1000ft.

I can’t imagine driving that thing.

I'm all in for Trump, but WTF is happening with having delegates stolen from him right under his nose?

Of course I remember! I lost a job because of those all-nighters. Oh well.

(The night our troops went into Baghdad, I couldn’t force myself to leave the thread, and I had a job interview at 8 am that next morning. But the interview was a 4 hour drive from my house, and I couldn’t tear myself away from the thread, so I got zero sleep and got to the interview a little late. I was so woozy from being up for 28 hours that I didn’t do well in the interview. But I wouldn’t trade that night on FR for that job!)

Ted Cruz = “I did not have sexual relations with that woman. Or that one. Or that one. Or that one. Or that one.”

How about that! What a small world. I used to belong to the local Lincoln/Logan County Chamber of Commerce, and the Downtown Lincoln Association, a branch of Main Street, USA. I was on the inaugural committee to welcome, entertain, coordinate, and celebrate the Rt. 66 Motor Tour/Rally first sponsored by State Farm Ins. The group had elected to stop in Lincoln for the night. Some of the drivers were going all the way to Los Angeles. Reading your post put the biggest smile on my face. Have a great time.

This is the 2nd poll in 2 days showing Trump way out in front. I hope it is true. If it is, it might have something to do with all the stories about how the establishment is planning on manipulating the nomination process if Trump doesn’t come in with 1237, and even resorting to stealing it if he does get to 1237.

People don’t like the corruption, and they might be seeing Cruz for what he really is, the way to keep Trump from reaching 1237, and not really a legitimate candidate.
