Yes, I agree Cruz took a lot of heat in the Senate and did a good job. He was my favorite until Trump started talking deportation. I kept waiting for Cruz to jump in, but hecwas strangely silent. I found that odd. Then he said ‘The American people don’t want to have that conversation’ about illegals here. That’s also exactly what Rubio started saying before he quit too.

I started thinking that Cruz wasn’t what I thought he was. Or that he had been corrupted, like so many that go to Washington. I still don’t know, because he’s done some pretty dirty things after saying he’d run a clean campaign. I wish he’d have removed my doubts so I could be happy with either.

I share your same concerns over cruz about the rough campaign. But I remember how many YEARS we were disappointed that our candidates wouldn't run a “tough” race. (like Romney wouldn't) So I am cutting him slack on that. At least he is fighting to win. And you have to admit trump is fighting to win too. he has said some horrible things about most every other candidate. but for some reason he gets a pass on that. I agree with Trump supporters that say he is more electable because he is oustide the political box. But I have issues with him changing positions so frequently, and how so many are so different sometimes daily, and certainly different than his positions of just four and five years ago. I like his supporters HOPE he is really what he is saying the past year, and not what he has stood for most of his previous adult life. But I will danged sure vote for him if he wins the nomination ( unless he really flip-flops and runs to the left of Hillary) But hell- even then I would probably still support him and keep my fingers crossed he can do anything differently. But until, then I will stick with cruz, because I believe his positions are more deeply felt, and I know he will fight against BOTH parties - because he has for his brief senate career already.
