Ya know, not all French folks surrendered. They did have a pretty effective and stiff resisitance.
I think the French citizens see how they’ve been duped and are beginning another resistance movement.
You’re right; American troops landing in French North Africa were mowed down by French soldiers determined to protect their culture and way of life. Two years later we invaded their homeland anyway; over time, we changed it from the “invasion of France” to a “crusade”...
In europe, that is all they can do. They are suppressed, as are we, but much worse even.
It was a pretty amazing resistance, too. It's number of members almost quadrupled after the war was over...
