It was to show the tragedy of children of illegals being sent here from across the border, caused by Obama's immigration policies. It was not to welcome them or encourage them, quite the opposite.
As this was happening, Trump was telling a group of illegals in his office, making their case for amnesty, "You've convinced me"

They don't care about any of it - they'd rather give the WH to Hillary than admit they were mistaken and then they can try to blame those who opted to go the rational route and try to win this thing with the only guy we have that has a chance.

Surely there are no Cruz supporters here who did not know about this misadventure with Beck?When I heard about it my thought was much ado about little. It seems more like "Love the sinner, hate the sin" than some sort of malfeasance. Yeah, we object to them being here illegally, but we don't hate them as people.
