Santorum was an honest realist.

I wouldn't call Santorum honest. He broke his FAMiLY Leader vow (as did Bachmann), and then pretended he had never made it.

OTOH, I don't think he's nearly as bad as Cruz.

untrusTED’s only purpose is to play the fool splitter. Santorum didn’t play keep away. He played honest and above board, for the sake and will of the voters.

Which voters? Trump voters? If Trump wins a majority of the actual votes cast in the primaries, I think he should be the nominee even if he doesn't have a majority of the delegates. But if he doesn't have a majority of the delegates or a majority of the votes, then it is completely fair for it to be up for grabs.

After all, Lincoln himself won the nomination even though he didn't have the most delegates at the convention. Seward did, but he'd ticked off too many other Republicans, and they weren't willing to give it to him. Lincoln was the compromise nominee.

In terms of the "GOP-E" giving it to someone besides Cruz, I think that'd be tough. If Trump loses, it will be because poor organization at the state level meant that many of his delegates weren't loyal to him. But Cruz excels at that, and his delegate are much less likely to defect. It'll be hard to rally delegates around some other candidate if Cruz' folks stay loyal.

If the process were done honestly and fairly, then I would agree. But we all know that's not what would happen. ;)

Besides, Romney didn't have a majority either. And so many shenanigans were pulled to make him the nominee.

Lol, true!

Teddy is the new toy poodle, the play toy of the GOPe and Soros and gang.

How utterly disgusting he is. And yet, the fake love affair displayed here by some, has me concerned! Are these people ok? They hated the GOPe with a white hot passion and now that Teddy is under the covers with them, their ok?

Weird

“IF Cruz has zero chance of winning the nomination, what are you worried about?”

Exactly! Donald Trump supporters are plenty worried alright.

I had THREE respond to my post when I pointed out Sen. Cruz’s MOMENTUM. Donald’s supporters are plenty nervous alright.

Wow, the fifth post, showing how worried Trump supporters are.

I’m sure you’re nice people, but you guys apparently don’t research much. Here’s a start:

“Trump has long praised Mitch McConnell, the man who is the embodiment of why people are fed up with the party and attracted to Trump in the first place. While conservatives were fighting to get rid of McConnell in the 2014 primaries, Trump said, “It would be a shame if he didn’t win, because he has such power, it’s so good for his state.”

It comes as no surprise, then, that late last year Trump criticized Cruz for acting like a “maniac” when he called McConnell a liar. How does Trump plan to fight political correctness and the culture of the D.C. establishment when he has championed the mastermind of the GOP establishment and is offended by the non-politically correct criticism of its leader?”

We’ve had SO MANY politicians make promises, but when they got elected BROKE the promises.

And yes, folks, DONALD TRUMP IS A POLITICIAN, and a slick one.

That is why I want someone with a PROVEN record this time.

TED CRUZ has been fighting for our religious liberty for a long time, and here is one example:

Cruz is the type of person who would auction off his soul if he could be POTUS. He has flipped on so many issues, he is obviously a say anything, do anything, to fool the voters. I have more respect for Kasich because he is much more honest, and has not flipped on anything important such as being for amnesty to illegals. Cruz has been on all sides of that issues.
