I understand your post, and that it looks like I am being dismissive of Jesus’ example, but not everything Jesus did was meant to become a sacrament, hence we don’t see very many Mud and Spittle Eye Poultice Ceremonies.
Interesting that you should say that "not everything was a Sacrament," because in the Catholic Church this is not considered one of the Seven Sacraments, and yet I've always thought it should have been. (Say, Sacrament #8). Why? Because it seems to fit the criteria
"You call me Teacher and Lordand you are right, for that is what I am. So if I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one anothers' feet. For I have set you an example, that you also should do as I have done to you. If you know these things, you are blessed if you do them. "
