What disturbs you?
What childhood event, adolescent disappointment or even adult despair has scarred you beyond repair?
Did it ever make you want to become a politician?
It's a tangential question incited by Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz's appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live."
Asked how many of the "Star Wars" movies he's seen, Cruz proudly said, "All of them."
And when probed about the last movie that made him cry, he exposed his deeper innards.
"As someone who grew up -- I mean, I stood in line for two hours to watch 'Empire Strikes Back,'" he said. "Han Solo was my hero."
He didn't want to spoil what happens to Solo during the most recent movie, "Star Wars: The Force Awakens."
"I'll just say that there's an image in that movie that was traumatic at a level I never wanted to see," he said.
I don't want to spoil it for you either, but come on, the movie came out in December and if you haven't seen it by now, you must have no friends.
Some might observe there's been a notable change in Cruz since the movie emerged. He was first friendly toward rival Donald Trump. It's different now.
He admitted in another part of the interview that if, while about to reverse his car, he were to see Trump in his rear-view camera, he's not sure which pedal he'd depress.
Better having a President, who in your editorial opinion traumatized by a movie than a con artist who speaks about his manhood on public television and stands by the actions of a thuggish campaign manager who manhandles a female reporter. Well, people are finally getting to know the empty suit and the polls affirm this.
BTW, the original post may have been an April Fool’s Day joke, but tell me that many, if not most of the Trump supporter replies in agreement aren’t completely serious.
All soft and chewey on the inside now isn’t he?
The article was dated in March, the show would have taken place before that, so no.
Trump supporters are Trump’s biggest weakness.
Never have I seen such sleaze. Not even from Clntonistas.
And then there is the simply bizarre.
Look at post 31.
Look at post 32. That’s for you too sport.
I thought Cruz supporters were vastly superior in their ability to take jokes. Not so much.
It’s hilarious, Morris.
Quite the wit!
Lol! The Economist has a good joke piece too this morning :)
“Han Solo was his hero???”
That’s setting the bar pretty low.
Chuck Yeager was one of my heros when I was growing up.
Beat me to it.
Trump’s voice is dubbed in to this video as Darth Vader’s voice. If THIS video doesn’t get you laughing out loud, I’ll be very surprised. Give it a go.

“Princess Lay-ya”
Those cinnamon buns on the side of her head always made me hungry.
In the past years, those lil cinnamon buns grew and grew into some mega buns on her butt.
I haven’t see the movie because I am all grown up and don’t much care, but I was wondering if she peeled off a few pounds!
Cruz has no freakin’ idea how to lead the nation to do ANYTHING. When crises emerge he will run to the very BushBot NWO apparatchiks he served with under W. These are the people who, like so many of both parties before them, out us INTO the mess we are in...on purpose! They have no clue — and certainly no interest — in getting us out of it.
Was Jar-Jar in it? That would traumatize me as well.
Lost on me. I’ve never seen one Star Wars film.
LOL.
