Posting this story dropped like a hot potato on Monday.
I don’t believe for a minute that Ted Cruz cheated on his wife with Donald Trump.
I thought there was another story coming out yesterday. What did the NE come out with? Anything?

Really? Seems like its already gone away.
The #1 reason is Cruz deflects rather than denies. On Monday he humiliated his wife by refusing to testify to his fidelity choosing instead to rant about Trump, and after first allowing a surrogate to deflect the question. This is despicable and cowardly.
When there is no evidence, a story is going nowhere. The outcome is that Trump looks like a sleaze who tried to smear Cruz, his family, and who attacked Cruz’s wife. Since the vast majority of women dislike Trump anyway, he hasn’t helped himself at all with this crap.

If it is true and could be proven at the presidential contest stage, it is over for Cruz. I am sure he knows this. That is why -—along with his somewhat sexuless persona-—this story makes me think it is all nonsense.
Five reasons why the NE non-story went away so quickly:
1. No proof. No smoking gun, no story.
2. Who believes the NE when it’s printing things designed to help the publusher’s friend politically?
3. “Who knows when the bruises got there?”
4. “Yes, women who have abortions should be punished.”
5. Nobody likes Ted Cruz ...... Except every woman on the planet. Wait. This might just explain Trump’s current standing with women in the polls. It’s not that they don’t like The Donald, it’s just that Ted Cruz is irresistible as a Latin Lover Undercover candidate. Yeah, that’s it.....
Cool...you have proof to show that Trump was responsible? Did you know the Rubio camp was fingered as the ones who were pushing the story? Unless you are able to prove otherwise I’d say that you are the one pushing the sleeze.
Cruz issued a strong statement that said he had no desire to copulate with Donald Trump. Rats may be on his list, depending on how you read the statement.
The #1 reason this story has any credibility are his and Amanda Carpenter's Twitter accounts.
