The rules are fair to the voters - They are there to make sure that the nominee is supported by a majority of the party.
“The rules are fair to the voters - They are there to make sure that the nominee is supported by a majority of the party.”
No they are not and no you do not decide that...the people do...you watch oh deluded one what happens if they try to steal the nomination from Trump, even with their corrupt rules. BTW, why don’t you ask Rand Paul about their fairness...
You have equated “party” with “voters”, where many of us see “party” equated to “establishment”.
If 20 million primary voters have voted for Trump and the next closest candidate only received 15 million votes — or wasn’t even in the primaries — but ends up the nominee because a few HUNDRED delegates voted their “conscience” then the voters have been screwed out of the process. Because in most cases those delegates were not directly voted on by millions of primary voters to represent them — those delegates really are the result of “backroom deals” by small groups of party (establishment) faithful.
The GOP as a major party will be OVER. The big news story in early August will be the mass exodus from the GOP and voter re-registration into other parties.
Actually the rules are there to prevent the people from having a real choice.
If voting made any difference they wouldn't let us do it."
