Jimmy Kimmels show aired a death threat against Donald Trump made by Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, a Trump staffer charged on CNN today.
Jimmy Kimmel To Ted Cruz: If he wasnt Ted Cruz, he probably would be reported and investigated by the Secret Service, Karen Giorno, identified by CNN as Trump campaign southeast regional director, told Jake Tapper.
It should offend every American. This is a presidential race, said the staffer of a GOP candidate who, two months earlier, boasted at a rally, I could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldnt lose voters.
This is not a time to be joking about the front-runner and essentially running him over and causing him harm or death, Giorno continued.
Last night, Cruz made his first visit to Kimmels ABC late-night show. He followed a guest who had showed viewers how to scare a pal on April Fools Day by taping a photo of Donald Trump to the back of the pals car, covering the back-up camera. Said Cruz, when Kimmel asked if he liked President Obama or Trump better, If I were in my car and getting ready to reverse, and saw Donald in the backup camera, Im not confident which pedal Id push.
This afternoon, Cruz communications director Alice Stewart told Tapper, It was a joke, on a late-night comedy show, adding it was no surprise the Trump team is going to focus on this.
CNN contributor and GOP strategist Ana Navarro counseled Giorno that the country will not get through this election cycle that Trump has done so much to plunge into a cuckoo crazy phase without the help of humor and liquor, so lighten up.
This is not the kind of humor we want, responded Giorno. My candidate has Secret Service protection for a reason. There are people out there that are out to physically harm him, OK? So what were talking about, another presidential candidate talking about backing over him with a car thats not funny.

[[Ridiculous Much?]]
Yes they do
‘Yeah, the forward and reverse would never stop!’
You can just picture it. Cruz backs over Trump, then pulls forward. Beck rushes in, stab, stab, stab! Beck gets clear, and Cruz backs over Trump again.
Rinse and repeat.
Thank you for the post.
He will sue you....
Kind of. Why did the police find her on the curb?
At least Cruz’ ‘joke’ wasn’t inciting violence.
Oh, wait.
Might have been even funnier if Heidi [after the humiliation Trump put her through regarding the RT] issued the joke, instead.
Ask the Trump fan crew. They have dozens of juicy theories.
You had to see the previous segment about April Fools gags to get the joke. It was actually funny in context.
When I saw what Ted said about Donald, I cringed. If that was a joke it was tasteless I did not find it funny at all.
What Donald joked abouf shooting someone was in general: however with Ted his joke was directed to an individual. That individual was Donald Trump.
For some of you who still unable too see that Ted Cruz IS part of the establishment. The very Establishment that would not hesitate to see Donald DEAD. That is why I believe there will be an attempt on his life.
Both candidates and their campaigns need to grow up. It’s time to focus on how they will beat Hillary and cut out the kid stuff. Saying that Cruz made a threat is nothing but BS.
Oh yes, context. As long as it’s in context, then the possibility of backing over a person and almost certainly killing them is hilarious.

Meh- lots of people did- the crowd in the audience thought it was funny, and you know hat they aren’t cruz supporters- Most people understood it was a joke and that Ted didn’t mean he would commit murder-
How did you feel about trump saying he could ‘shoot somebody and his supporters would still vote for him’?
[[What Donald joked abouf shooting someone was in general:]]
Wow- lol- you trump people are funny
‘What Donald joked abouf shooting someone was in general’
Trump didn’t originate that comment. Some pollster, pundit or the like used that scenario to illustrate the loyalty of Trump supporters.
Iirc, the first time Trump cited it he said, “They say I could shoot...” etc. Thereafter he omitted the preface, and just quoted the rest.
Fyi.
Cruz has disappointed me. He lost me with his comments about the Chicago ‘disruptors’. And he has gone downhill, in my opinion, since then.
I didn't expect to support Trump when this started, but the more I watch this the more I believe he should be the one to challenge Hillary.
The histrionics are coming from Cruz. Any little thing trump says, Cruz jumps on it and attacks. Every five minute we hear how “Donald attacked my family”. He picks up every rat talking point. Just as he quickly jumped on the bogus reporter story or siding with the thugs in Chicago. He was so desperate to win utah, he teamed up with Romney to smear Melania.

Graham says if Trump was killed on the senate floor the killer wouldn’t be convicted.
Cruz says he might run Trump over. So, the question is: Did Cruz get his talking points from his good buddy Graham?
By the way, back in the 70s truckers used to use the term “good buddy” on the C.B. Then the meaning came to mean gay buddy. With Graham, good buddy is correct.
It was no more a serious comment than Trump talking about shooting people in the middle of 5th Avenue. Of course, Trump’s joke was pretty insulting to his supporters.
That would be “Lawyer Daggett”.
now now, don’t be a liar.
