Well, we elected a whole fleet of “conservatives” in 2012, how well has that worked out? Cruz is one of them...
It’s not about ideology. It is about the issues and solutions Trump has put forth. I care about putting an actual outsider (not Cruz who only became an outsider 4 years ago) and a businessman who has a track record of actual accomplishment in the White House. I’ve already voted for Trump here in blue-state IL and he won. I would urge you to do the same.

In a strange way, I actually think Romney was more conservative than Trump. But that is because Trump doesn't really score on any of the conservative measures, while Romney sort of, barely did.
Of course, he had none of the fight and Trump does, which what the biggest part of his undoing.
