We can’t forget what he did bring. A Wrecking Ball to the establishment.
His learning curve is huge and he needs to change some things like yesterday.
But if he doesn’t get the nod and runs third party, he and the republican loses.
Haley must have come up with this.
“Its just one more illustration as to how clueless Trump is about the whole process.”
Here just say that you support the Gope in whatever way possible to stop Trump with some retarded fantasy of yours that they will install Cruz in his place.
Because they will turn those sacred and beloved “rules” against that pasty loser the first chance they get.
The Donald warned long ago that he would not hold to a pledge of any kind of the Republican party, if he were “treated very unfairly” by the Republican party.
And the machinery of the Republican national leadership has been trying very hard to overcome the surprising strength of The Donald and his appeal to the non-Republican all across the US.
News Flash, Republicans - that is how you actually WIN elections, and not by demanding an impossible standard of intellectual and ideological purity.
What you’re missing is that outside of forums like this the average Trump voter will have no trouble supporting Cruz, but they will join Cruz supporters in decrying an attempt to nominate someone other than Trump or Cruz. The opposite isn’t true, however. If Trump is denied the nomination, most Cruz supporters will be fine with that. There’s a reason Trump’s unfavorables are so high; he deserves them.
If Trump fails to enter the convention with 1237 delegates locked up, many of his delegates will desert him on the second ballot. If they don’t go for Cruz and a third alternative like Kasich or someone who didn’t even run in the primaries becomes a possibility then both the Cruz voters and Trump voters will be in open revolt. The GOP won’t go that far, in my opinion.
So, no, I don’t support an establishment attempt to nominate someone other than Trump or Cruz. I do sincerely hope, however, that the nominee doesn’t end up being Trump. And, as I said, his missteps, like forgetting his SC pledge, might do in his chances anyway. Cruz is playing a better game of inside baseball and has been all along.
Fine. Take away all of Cruz’s South Carolina delegates too.
How about his Texas ones?
