Very cool. My ancestor at Wilson's creek was in the 1st AR Calvary, and took a musket ball to to the shoulder on 10 Aug 1861. Mortally wounded, he went back to his farm in northern Arkansas and lingered until 7 Sep 1861 and died of infection.

Was very fortunate to get a heck of a lot of detail from his widow's pension application.

Wilson's Creek was (is) a very under-appreciated battle as far as it's historical importance.

That’s a long time to suffer. Belated condolences for sure.

Our family originally came from Santa Fe Missouri, haven’t located any historical war data yet but working on it.

That’s a fine legacy you have FRiend. Kudos to you.
