I’m not an attorney but I have been deposed MANY times over 4 decades and I can tell you that I was NEVER allowed any aides, or to consult anyone about anything and if you have any notes they demand copies. They MAKE you answer the question EVEN IF your attorney “objects”.
You can have an attorney but generally speaking he can’t help you much because if you start refusing to answer questions they very well might pick up the phone and call the judge right then and there. And, in Texas, you don’t want to find yourself talking to a judge on the phone in the middle of a deposition. It will end badly. I know.
