“Had he quoted the preamble his negatives would have shot through the roof with the millennials who have never seen the constitution applied to anything.”
Quoting The Constitution would have been a negative?
WOW
Nothing impresses me about Trump, but that would have at least have gotten my attention.
At least you didn’t parse the quote. We do live in a maleducated society. Where our core values are up for grabs and populists not purists are far more likely to have a voice that is heard.
I cannot picture my guy Cruz going at it with a blunt instrument like Trump would. Not that Trump would succeed but it’s come to this. My earlier suggestion to move the capitol would be something only Trump could have the gonads to blurt out. Cruz for VP(dream ticket) with the plan for Cruz to get kicked upstairs to SCOTUS. Either that or Trump does it all in one term.
.. and nothing impresses anyone about you.
Of course. Welcome to the New World of Trumpistic Logic, to wit:
We start with the axiom or postulate that Mr. Trump can do no wrong. All subsequent theorems, lemmas and conclusions follow as effortlessly as pure water flows from a cold mountain spring.
Therefore, to the extent that the "Preamble" to the Constitution conflicts with the priorities of Mr. Trump, the Constitution shall not be quoted or otherwise invoked.
