“The only people who can set or change the rules are the delegates themselves and they’ve not met yet to begin that process. All the talk of changes designed to screw Trump is coming from the media, agitators, and the Trump camp itself to reinforce his outsider bona fides and his “victim” claims.”

Your comment is a false statement. I am one of the Congressional District delegates, and I have already heard GOP officer delegates comment on how they want to change the rules at the conventions to deny Trump the nomination.

The convention rules are not established until a week before the convention so they can't be "changed" now. It's highly likely, much to my chagrin, that Trump will have the necessary delegate count to be the presumptive nominee before the convention even begins. I don't doubt that there are officer delegates who would like the world to be different, but if Trump has the delegates to take the nomination before the convention opens, there is no scenario where he will be denied.

As with Dole and McCain and Romney, the GOP will once again head into the general election with a non-conservative, big-government loving candidate at the top of the ticket.
