What idiot takes his/her family over there anyway?I was TDY at Incirlik, from Wiesbaden. I was single at the time, and I don't know if I would have brought a family there, but most of the other guys DID bring their families to Turkey.

Turkey was quite safe for Americans for many years (in most places). The biggest threat was being hit by a Turkish driver.
