Trump threatens to skip CNN town hall

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is threatening to skip CNN's town hall interview Tuesday night over the network's treatment of him.

"Wow, @CNN has nothing but my opponents on their shows," he wrote on Twitter. "Really one-sided and unfair reporting. Maybe I shouldn't do their town-hall tonight!"

Trump and rivals Ted Cruz and John Kasich are scheduled to be interviewed by the network in Wisconsin, one week before the state's primary.

Trump has repeatedly threatened during his campaign to skip big events — and he's followed through at time.

“...lynch mob of hypocrites.”

Wow. That’s amazing.

Look how many of those hypocrites are people Deceptive Donnie paid off with political contributions.

“A coward is someone who can’t answer a straight question about whether he’s been faithful to his wife.”

Why is this such an issue for you?

Obviously, Trump’s morals are no criteria for you voting for him.

How would Trump feel, hypotheticaly, about an Iron Felix statue in the lobby of the spiffy tower he wants to build in Moscow?

Bull.

At least Donald Trump can truthfully answer such a question, instead of immediately deflecting and trying to blame Ted Cruz for it.

And Trump doesn't submissivily STFU and defer to some woman who isn't even his wife to run interference for him, when asked such a question directly.

"Mama Carly", who also was unfaithful to her spouse, had to jump in and save Ted Cruz from that mean old reporter, and dutifully deflect away from the question and onto the catch-all boogeyman Donald Trump.

DeflecTED!

Go, Trump, Go!

Nice deflection, Donnie, but you haven’t answered my question. Deceptive Donnie has a plethora of prior moral and character failings, but you Trumpbots don’t seem to mind any of them.

If morals and character are such a big deal to you than why do you ignore his past dalliances?

I find your accusations to be the height of hypocrisy.

If morals and character are such a big deal to you than why do you ignore his past dalliances?

Because they are in the past, they are old news, and Trump has candidly admitted the mistakes, as opposed to being incapable of saying either "I have been unfaithful to my wife" or "I have never been unfaithful to my wife".

For some reason, Ted Cruz seems to be as terrified of saying one of those sentences as 0bama is of saying "Islamic Extremism".

Instead of simply repeating the totally exculpatory phrase that the reporter served up to him on a silver platter, Ted Cruz instead deflecTED and tried to smear Donald Trump once again.

Oh, that's right! It wasn't Ted that deflecTED that question this time, was it?

No siree. Instead, Ted submissively hid behind Mama Carly's skirt while she (a former adulterer herself) assertively fielded the question for him. Mama Carly dutifully obfuscaTED by trying to deflect the blame for the story itself onto the catch-all boogeyman Donald Trump, just like Ted Cruz had done initially.

Pathetic. DefelecTED and obfuscaTED.

At that moment, it dawned on me that Ted Cruz really might have something to hide.

I mean, the initial deflection-fest was bad enough, but to repeat the same deflection tactics again via a surrogate, replete with scripted quips, really brought home the lawyer-esque words that Ted Cruz is using for a topic that logically calls for the exact opposite of that (at least if one doesn't have a guilty conscience it does).

Let me fill you in on something about that video clip: the optics of that moment were very, very bad for Ted Cruz.

But I digress...

When’s the last time Deceptive Donnie was asked if he cheated on his current wife?

Do you think he would answer truthfully if he did?

Would that make any difference to you?

Why should any candidate be asked this question?

Are there any limits to the admissions of a candidate’s past sins you would demand an answer to?

Do you believe in forgiveness?

When’s the last time Deceptive Donnie was asked if he cheated on his current wife?

Don't know, but I'm sure he'd answer the question in a more straightforward way than Ted Cruz did. Of course, virtually any answer would meet that qualification.

Of course, Donald Trump doesn't try to deliberately cultivate an image that he's some kind of squeaky clean devout family man Evangelical.

Do you think he would answer truthfully if he did?

Yes.

Would that make any difference to you?

Yes.

Why should any candidate be asked this question?

"Any" candidate shouldn't. But when for whatever reason the question arises during the normal course of a campaign (for instance, the publishing of a story from a source that has a record of being accurate on such stories) the question is very likely to be asked.

And when such a question is asked, the response potentially says something about whether the person "practices what they preach", and might tend to indicate whether the image they're projecting is phony or not.

Are there any limits to the admissions of a candidate’s past sins you would demand an answer to?

I suppose there are many practical limitations, but the question of fidelity does not fall within such limitations when contrary assertions are made, and the public wishes to know.

Of course, "none of your business" would be a possible answer, one that could carry its own obvious risks.

Do you believe in forgiveness?

Absolutely. Forgiveness, of course, usually comes after confession, assuming there is something to actually confess in the first place.

"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." - I John 1:9 (King James Version)

Batman would answer the questions. (Chickenman, Not. So. Much)

1. How would Trump’s plan for State Security differ from the plan Vlad Putin, and Putin’s predecessor Iron Felix, inflicted upon those within the purview of their state-establishment?

2. Would an Iron Felix statue in the lobby of Trump Tower, Moscow, be an acceptable compromise in President Trump’s post-NATO world?
