Gerson does not seem to understand that first you have to win then you can preach conservatism. Conservatism seems to have it backwards. Lose everything and stay pure and principled. Limbaugh is more pragmatic. If Trump wins he does not want to be left out of the limelight like Levin. Limbaugh understands the gravy train.

I’m a conservatism, but after 16 years of GWB and the GOP congress stabbing me in the back, I don’t want to associated with “Conservatives” like Glenn Beck, Mitt Romney, Ryan, Rubio, and even Ted Cruz. All I want is to stop my nation from being over run by 3ed worlds and the end to a government and media that hates me for having been born white.

Rush haven’t been neutral, he’s pro-Cruz.

Besides scribble.

Drive-by set up to give Rush something to talk about himself. I have concluded Rush manufactures these drive-by stories. A comparison of Rush and Trump's private life shows Trump is more conservative. Rush secretly dining with Schumer and Graham back in 2011 getting talking points on amnesty exposes the depth of Rush's conservative values.

We've won plenty in the past 36 years! I've heard plenty conservative preaching too. But no action. Even Reagan didn't tear anything down. We are looking at the aftermath of a burn over of philosophical hypocrisy and infidelity.

But Trump will outbid the communist vote buyers with "Everybody Wins!"

I tuned out Rush and Levin, too bad I enjoyed listening to them but they’re too annoying especially Levin, he sounds insane....

He understands reality - Cruz has been relegated to playing spoiler which means Trump is the only one actually concentrating on beating the Dems.

It’s worse: Gerson’s brand of “conservatism” is hardly American nationalism. Save the country.

“Rush Limbaugh’s blessing of Trump is killing conservatism”

What is “killing conservatism” is people that RUN AS CONSERVATIVES and then seem to FORGET EVERYTHING once taking office.

All Republicans had to do was govern as they ran and Trump would have been LAUGHED OUT of the race last summer.

But the Big Money simply WILL NOT PERMIT THAT.

I stopped listening to Rush (for the first time in 20+ years) because it was all Trump all the time. I’ve previously argued in FR that Trump probably was not a conservative until I was blue in the face. The time to have brought down Trump was many months ago. However, now I’m voting for Trump. I’m going to take Trump at this word, that he’s now a conservative. Also, he seems to have all the right enemies. In the end, Rush is right not to overtly endorse a candidate during the primaries. But this time around, he stealthily DID endorse Trump, whether he admits it or not. And Trump owes a great deal to Rush, whether Trump admits it or not.

If conservatism really is sick enough that Rush endorsing Trump can kill it, which with all its problems I still seriously doubt, it’s time to pull the plug and call the time anyway.

The Washington Post is going to lecture us on conservatism? Give me a break! That’s like ISIS lecturing us on Christianity.

And of course the gratious shot at Sarah Palin.

Trump is not killing Conservatism. Rush is not killing it.

The GOPe killed it a LOOOOOOONG time ago by passing-off policies that harmed the country and only benefitted their donors as being “conservative”.

The brand it now thoroughly trashed. Trump is the closest thing to conservative most people will currently vote for.

Rush is astute and surely knows this.

First off Rush berates Trump Daily in his sneeky snide little way and pushes Cruz pretending he is not endorsing anyone! This article is pure BS!

Obviously the writer doesn’t actually listen to Rush. Rush has been slobbering all over Marco FoamBoy Rubio and now busTED sCruz.

Thelast month he has attacked not only Trump but his own listeners who support Trump. I’ve heard him demean Trump supporters.

It’s painfully apparent who side Rush comes down on.

Many of us have turned Rush off over his attacks on Trump.
