Have not seen such white hot animus against a politician at free republic since the clintons in the 90s.
That politician is Ted Cruz. Just dont understand . The attacks on Cruz feel worse than Ryan, McConnell and even Obama.
I can vouch for Jeb and Rubio got really wobbly, but I hate to see Perry, Jindal, Carly, Rand , Scott Walker, Carson and Cruz trashed and marginalized.

Trump has run a sleazy gutter campaign and his mob take their queues from him. This won’t end well.
I think the reason Cruz is being so unfairly attacked, is that he is viewed as a real threat to Dear Leader (Donald Trump).
It is too bad. I really only started posting to try and add some balance to the Trump followers. A lot of the Cruz supporters have left, or are not posting, due to hostility, threats etc. It is too bad. I would greatly prefer policy discussions, but the Trump supporters generally respond personally.

Cruz created the blowback by running as the “Face of God”. His hubris draws attacks like honey draws flies.
Cruz is also flagrant in his lies about his opponents’ positions, having credited several opponents with opposite opinions to their oral & written statements on multiple occasions. That kind of thing gets peoples’ backs up. Then there is the New York Values Debacle. If he’s taking heat he earned it.
