I’m not sure that Donald’s resume has no transferable skills.
My thesis is that America already had what it took to be great, but it wasted it.
Some people say Donald only competently kept a real estate empire, and didn’t really build it beyond what the market was already poised to do. So fine, let’s just credit Donald with that. We must still admit that Donald generally did not waste. Those who have actually followed the lives of zillionaires can speak of the very real tendency of these people to blow their entire fortunes. Donald didn’t.
Just stop the waste, and we’ve licked almost the whole problem. Don’t waste pecuniary assets; don’t waste spiritual assets.
Not completely wasted. We've had our moments. Unfortunately, the system is so broken and out of control that electing a populist with a few cutesy slogans and the promise of bringing in some of his 'terrific' friends as advisers is akin to a bucket brigade bailing out the Titanic.
