Funny how the headline reads. Even IF, If, Donald Trump can somehow command the National Enquirer to print phony news stories then why isn’t Cruz dealing with it instead of blaming Trump? Why not DEMAND an apology and an immediate retraction from the paper? That would be the actions of an innocent man. The longer he doesn’t do this the more it looks like he thinks they have the goods on him.

Trump should offer a laughing apology and say:

Sorry Ted (yuk yuk yuk) but I had nothing to do with it.

"The longer he doesn’t do this the more it looks like he thinks they have the goods on him."

And, if it's true (pending) it won't matter where it came from, the Cruz political career would be over.

But such things affect Cruz more so than any other candidate I can remember.

No candidate in recent memory has so thoroughly put on the public persona of the Godly Man.

It would thoroughly and completely destroy his public persona as now known and make him look quite the hypocrite.

There have been plenty of honorable people (E.g., Clarence Thomas) that have been accused of sex scandals. Cruz does not have the experience necessary to deal with an accusation of the magnitude in question.
