I get that the media has gotten the memo that Donald Trump is the greatest threat to civilization since NBC’s “The Slap,” but the controversy surrounding the Trump v Ted Cruz wife-dissing battle has revealed a stunning bit of tunnel vision, particularly among liberals. While everyone piles on Trump for retweeting an unflattering photo comparison of Heidi Cruz and Melania Trump, they’re giving Cruz and his SuperPAC a complete pass for what amounts to a political sexual assault on Melania Trump. Both attacks were ugly; I would submit that the explicitly sexual nature of the attack on Mrs. Trump is worse, but for the sake of argument, let’s call them even.
Consider this introduction to the flap by Chris Hayes on Thursday night’s All In, in which he takes great pains to note that the PAC that attacked Melania Trump has “no direct connection” to Ted Cruz, then delights in Cruz’s (admittedly awesome) refusal to say he won’t support Trump if he’s the nominee:
God bless Hallie Jackson for asking that followup, but another great question would have been why didn’t Ted Cruz immediately denounce the anti-Melania ad and demand that it be taken down? As for Hayes, he and the rest of the media are giving Cruz a benefit of the doubt that he has not earned. Sure, he’s not supposed to coordinate with SuperPACs, but this is the same guy who swore his campaign had nothing to do with spreading the rumor that Ben Carson had dropped out in Iowa, only to have voicemails to the contrary surface almost immediately. At a bare minimum, Cruz bears responsibility for not immediately coming out against the ad.

OR YOU COULD VOTE FOR TED CRUZ.
Bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
LOL
Trump should have thought of this skeleton in the closet when he decided to run. To my knowledge, Mrs Cruz has never accepted money due to stripping to the nude and having provocative photos of her taken.
But then again, that might reflect a certain modicum of morals and integrity.
That ship has sailed, to the delight of the UniParty.
I’d say he isn’t getting a pass. I think Wise Ole Ted has reaped the whirlwind.
“peddled her wares internationally and publicly in a magazine, while Mrs. Cruz didnt.”
No, Heidi just wants the border with Mexico literally erased. And for Mexico, USA, and Canada to join into an EU style arrangement. Screw her. Melania loves America, Heidi worked to destroy it.
Ted has called the story “garbage.” Well, if so, is he going to file a lawsuit against them? ;)
For a stripper, I thought she looked pretty good.

Because the Media, the Government(i.e. the ‘Rat Party and the GOPe), the GOP, the Donor Class, and the Ruling Class decide what is and what isn’t. Your job is to work for what they decide to pay you, to pay your taxes or go to jail, and to shut up.
Donald might have gotten some sympathy and good press if he hadn’t come out and threatened to “spill the beans” on Heidi Cruz, and then retweet an unflattering picture the next day. It all seemed way too planned for me.
Don't you mean the other way around?
That was a totally sleazy thing to do, and yet I don't see anyone complaining about it. What do you think? Is mocking the beauty of someone's wife okay with you?
Regarding the information that a certain Ben Shales of GQ sales confirming that Jeff Roe ordered the Melania pic used in the anti-Trump ad posted by a pac...
Not finding independent verification besides twitter repeats, I took the liberty to write GQ themselves as to who ordered the photo in question. If I ever hear back from them, I will post what they replied.
Oh he isn’t believe me, there’s more to come on this story...wait until the NE comes out with the rest, just like they did with John Edwards...
His goose is cooked, and so is everything else with him, unless the people want another Bill and Hill in office again...
Because it wasn’t him that made the ad. It was an anti-Trump PAC that was behind it. They aren’t for Cruz, they’re against Trump.
But he does need to sharply distance himself from said PAC if he wants this to go away.
Cruz called Trump’s wife a slut.
Then why is Cruz’s spokesperson on Fox discussing the same talking points as was in the Ad 2 weeks before the ad ran in Utah.
Starts about the 4 min mark.

I guess thats what happens when a reality show celebrity runs for president.
