I could be wrong, but I think that Wisconsin isn't statewide "winner take all" in the same way that FL,AZ,OH are winner take all. Instead, it's winner take all per Congressional district, unless a candidate gets over 50% in which case all delegates in the state are pledged to the winner. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Wisconsin is WTA by Congressional district for 24 of the 42 delegates. (8x3). The remaining 18 delegates go to the statewide winner, regardless of any threshold.
Cruz and Trump (and possibly even Kasich) will get some delegates under this scheme.
Cruz is going to screw the pooch. He is trying to keep Trump from getting the delegates he needs thinking he will get it in a contested primary. The GOPe is happy because they know neither Trump or Cruz will win if it comes to that. As far as the general election goes there is no way Cruz can beat Hitlery. The polls are meaningless now because the Clinton War Room has yet to begin the attack. Cruz will be demonized as the government shutdown guy like a couple of years ago and the dumb arse public will believe it thanks to the commies in the media. Trump really is the only snowballs chance we have of winning. Even though I would prefer Cruz over Trump I am not going to be so stupid to help lose this critical election because I have to support my #2 choice over my #1 choice.

You’re right. That’s a possibility. But then that would put Cruz in Trump’s class, right?
This is why Trump’s people are putting out smear stories about Cruz.
