Trump is a massively powerful candidate. He has the entire world against him. They have spent over $500 million fighting him and he is still ahead in the polls. People are fed up and honestly there are more of us then there are of them!

So much uncertainty surrounding Trump. Still a much option than Team Hillary.

I believe this.

There will be enough cross-over Dems voting for Trump that I don’t think it will be close.

Maybe.
I don’t support Trump or trust him.
But I firmly believe that a major source of Trump’s popularity is that he never apologizes and hits back at anyone that strikes at him.
All of that $500 million spent ‘fighting’ him has, in effect, been nothing but more ads FOR Trump.

Trump will win 35 states, it won’t even be close.

Hillary is a thoroughly despicable human being.

Obama could at least appear to be likeable.

Though I have misgivings about some Trump ideas, here’s what I feel certain he would do as president:

•Seal the border, build a wall and enforce immigration laws. This is without a doubt one of the most important priorities for America’s safety and security. If we don’t do this, we will cease to be a sovereign, self-governing republic in the next generation.
•If the Republican Congress sends Trump a bill repealing Obamacare, he will sign it.
•If the Republican Congress sends Trump a budget that cuts spending, taxes and regulation, he will sign it.
•If the Republican Congress gets serious about freezing the debt and balancing the budget, Trump will approve.
•Trump will take on and defeat ISIS.

Does anyone really doubt any of these assumptions?

You mean other than the Republican congress repealing Obamacare, cutting spending, freezing the debt, and balancing the budget?

Trump isn’t Reagan. He’s nothing like Reagan. The make up of the country is far different now than it was 36 years ago. Trying to make this comparison is pure ignorance.

Reagan was “likable,” DJT is not - so that comparison is invalid;
DJT’s opponent is more likable;
DJT switches opinions/positions at the drop of the hat or poll which ever comes first;
DJT is not a conservative;
DJT will have to drastically raise taxes to pay for his new improved single payer health plan;
DJT has absolutely no manned deep space plan;
DJT is for big government - see eminent domain;
DJT is the ultimate crony capitalist;
DJT has no clue about the ME, and therefore ISIS;
DJT as President will make Americans long for the good old days of 0bama.

Cruz is much the same but he waves the Bible better ...

All that said, either is better than Hillary/Sanders.

I haven’t seen this much self delusion among otherwise intelligent conservatives since the Christine O’Donnell fiasco back on 2010.

The only thing I have any concern about is the GOPe stopping Trump. Once he gets the nomination I have zero doubts that he will annihilate Hillary Clinton or any other Democrat candidate.

it’s obvious. and it’s been obvious for a long time. it’s the Sessions strategy, which is the Reagan stratgegy, baby. pure and simple.

“I am old enough to remember vividly what the polls between Ronald Reagan and Jimmy Carter looked like in 1980 at this point in the presidential campaign. They suggested Reagan had no chance to win. He trailed Carter in the polls by double digits. He went on to carry 44 states that year, including New York and California – 49 states four years later. “

Well, you should be old enough to know that Ronald Reagan wasn’t spoiled rotten rich kid that grew up to be a carnival barker.

I think Hillary is hugely vunerable on many levels - inclusive of Bill’s past in his abuse and sexual escapades with women and his use under the power of authority to sexually assault women as Hillary enahled his abuses and in her hunger for power and to be a card carrying member of the establishment elite she was the one who coordinated the attacks on these women as “bimbos” and “whores” et all and this included threats against them and even killing their pets to try and shut them up.

It was the Enquirer that received recognition for their journalistic research and news scoops as they were the one’s who broke with the 1990s details of the Bill Clinton-Monica Lewinsky affair, they were first made public by the Enquirer and thanks to them the entire Bill Clinton abuse of women under the mantel of power came to light and then more women who were assaulted or taken advantage of by this pervert who had issues with his own power hungry wife came forward. Hillary so obsessed with her own need to be a card carrying member of the establishment elite then covered for Bill and she was the one who led the campaign attacking the women abused and used and sexually assaulted by Bill Clinton, she was Bill’s enabler by doing so simply in her lust for power.

I see a lot in common between the Cruz’s and the Clinton’s. I think this latest Enquirer story has legitimacy here, and I think there is no coincidence here how the Ted-Heidi story is paralleling the Bill-Hillary story, Heidi is just like Hillary as well. I have no doubt there is a lot more remarkable facts to come, and am not surprised it is the Natiunal Enquirer that leds the way to open this mess up just like they led the way in the past.

Ted Cruz is a sleeze ball and his wife is a power hungry Hillary personality. It all makes sense. The Republicans will be massacred in the election if the establishment and Heidi, who I think has her own power hungry political and globalist agenda, succeed in a corrupt brokered convention disenfranchising the voting Republican base. The only difference between the Clinton and the Cruz story is the “impeachment” of Cruz will occur during the general election if they pull off their crony attempts to grab power - their decades old dreams of such membership in the elite establishment will crumble in the general election as the American people will have justifiable perceptions that will try and then convict them in the court of public opinion.

I agree with your assessment. If Trump is the nominee, he will win in a massive landslide.

I believe Ted Cruz will also win against Hillary, but it won't by by such a large margin.

That being said, I'd rather have Ted Cruz, but I will support Trump if he wins the nomination.

I haven’t met any Cruz supporter (formerly that included me) that believes Trump will be Hillary and certainly not by a Landslide....I almost stopped reading after the first sentence! But I kept reading to amuse myself!

NO ONE, (even women), want a frumpy looking, post-menopausal, lesbian Hillary Clinton as President of the USA. It would seal our doom as a country. Deep down in the recesses of their minds everyone knows this. Therefore Trump will win easily.

Trump is behind in virtually every poll — the only Republican candidate who is. I see no evidence that he would beat Hillary, let alone in a landslide, and he’s likely to take the Republican Congress down with him.
