...which is precisely why they don’t want him.

Exactly, or the GOPe could steal the nomination from the voters, ensuring a loss of enthusiasm among republicans, and we get democrat-lite candidates that will lose to the democrats in the general elections.

And my fear is that if the GOPe passes on Trump it might be decades before we get another candidate that understands the economic issues and will do something about the de-industrialization of America.

Pat is very generous: Trump issued harsh attacks on Pat in 2000 when Pat was the Reform Party nominee.

Don’t forget the pitchforks.

I hate it when he leaves out the pitchforks....

Senator John McCain (AZ, Mod.) is emblematic of the 21st century GOP.
Pretend to be a conservative every six years. The rest of the time, do whatever it takes to preserve your reputation with the MSM and the left, and fight & abuse conservatives tooth-and-nail until the next election.
Enough of that happy horse-stuff. Go Trump. win win win.

Trump's support skews disproportionately older. It may well be enough to win this year, but it seems quite the stretch to see it as a movement for the future.

It also should be pointed out that there really isn't a "movement" at all. Trump is not bringing along other candidates for the House or Senate, or even at the state level. It is a movement focused solely on him, and he's nearly 70.
