There is a spiritual battle and drama going on in the world, no doubt about it.
It sounds ironic in the face of what we are used to and the current chaos, but the church is going to have to relinquish its dependency on the support of the secular world in order to really unleash the power of Jesus. It is going to have to see influencing the secular world as an opportunity by God’s grace, not as an absolute right. With a new perspective, it won’t get bent out of shape by being denied old avenues, but will opportunistically find new avenues. The gospel is that way. Romans even fed Christians to lions and God caused the witness to raise up more Christians than were eaten.
