That is one of the problems with having someone inexperienced in politics running. Trump could have possibly picked up some of those delegates or the committee spots, but he didn't even have his campaign people at the convention.
WSJ - "Stacking the convention and its committees with supporters is critical for Mr. Cruz, because a contested convention is his only viable path to the nomination. The Texan must win 85% of the remaining delegates to win outright, a highly unlikely scenario with many states awarding delegates proportionally."
Yeah Cruz is not going to get there and Trump is going to get his 1,237. There's not going to be a real 'contested convention' nor a brokered convention. All wishy and washy thinking.
But the five delegates awarded to Florida Sen. Marco Rubio are now free agents because he ended his campaign, and Louisiana Republicans expect them to swing behind Mr. Cruz.
So they expect, but we don't know for sure. And...
Meanwhile, the states five unbound delegateswho are free to back the candidates of their choicealso are more likely to back Mr. Cruz than Mr. Trump, according to GOP officials in the state.
Again we don't know for sure. LoL - We got to wait until the Rep CONvention. However, Trump is going to get his 1,237, and all this maneuvering won't be worth a bucket of the stinky stuff in the end.
