Our families had Fords when I grew up. My first car a falcon, then a pinto, then a Fairmont, then an Aerostar. In Europe I drove a bmw, but on return we’ve bought both a mustang and an f150 supercab. Both are pushing 10 years old and it’s time for another vehicle. I was looking at an expedition or a suburban, and the move by ford to Mexico had me hacked.
Maybe I’ll rethink it again.

Don't underestimate the power of politics in overcoming bad feelings.

JFK and LBJ hated each other.

Two things could have increasing significance:

1. Uncommitted. Currently there are 31 uncommitted, based on thegreenpapers.com. Those could become very significant, if one of the candidates close to, but not at the 1237 needed.

2. Rubio. Rubio currently has more delegates than Kasich. Rubio’s 174 could be very significant if one of the candidates is close to, but not at the 1237 needed.

You could be right of course about not allowing Cruz the nomination.

But you are making an implicit assumption that I don't agree with: That the GOPe actually controls enough delegates to move well over a 1000 votes. That's a lot of votes to change hands. In the end it is up to the delegates.

My position is that there will not be any closet Trump supporters who will switch to him and therefore our Cruz/Kasich scenario will play out. With Cruz a majority is reachable. With Kasich I doubt it.

Interesting times, don't you think.

The numbers are bad for Cruz but the geography is worse. The remaining states look solid Trump...so far anyway.

One of my family always thought LBJ was somehow connected to taking JFK out.

Well, I’ve heard all sorts of theories.

Historically when we get much beyond this point, voters distrustful of the party leadership coalesce around the frontrunner.

That is a bigger factor in the general populace than in the politically active population sector.

I’m not a globalist (Ryan, Boehner, etc.) and I’m not a xenophobic, head-in-the-sand, fingers-in-my-ears isolationist (Trump, Ron Paul, Bernie Sanders). I’m a patriotic constitutionalist (Cruz, Reagan, Gingrich).

Yes I should— why doesn’t any reporter ask Cruz the question— “If you think Kasich should drop out because he is mathematically eliminated will you drop out when you are mathematically eliminated?”
