I don’t need to ‘forgive you’ because I recognize that your political prattle is nothing more than that. And I don’t give a damn if Cruz has attended a Southern Baptist Church for one day or all his life, the fact is, his father preaches that Dominionist doctrine which is blasphemous, and you can find plenty of recorded videos online in which he promotes that twisted view of Christianity and states that his son is ‘annointed’ by God to rule over our society.
Don’t take my word for it, go out and find it for yourself. Like they used to say on the ‘X’ Files, “The truth is out there”.
Do you need more? Ponder the latest blasphemies uttered by the converted Mormon ‘prophet’ Glenn Beck, castigating Christians for “not listening to their God” and supporting Ted Cruz, stating that Cruz is the “fulfillment of Mormon prophecy”, i.e. all of that ‘white horse’ nonsense, and of course we have ‘Bishop’ Romney doing his best to delude the Mormon masses into supporting Ted Cruz. And did Cruz so much as raise a finger or say one word to discourage such blasphemous utterances in his behalf?
We both know the answer is a resounding *NO*. And why would he? Glenn Beck is an integral part of his campaign, Cruz went out of his way to “thank” Bishop Romney for his support, and while it is true that there hasn’t been any actual ‘snake handling’ events in the Cruz campaign, even you cannot deny that the pseudo-religious fervor that Cruz has sought to generate does a disservice to Christians, he has chosen to USE the Lord Jesus Christ as a campaign prop, in Iowa it was all about “energize and raise up the Body of Christ!” and “put on the full armor of God!” but when he got to New Hampshire all of that energizer bunny talk and needing all that armor disappeared and lo and behold:
Cruz lost New Hampshire.
On to South Carolina, the state where everyone (including the mad prophet Glenn Beck) stated that it was Cruz’ natural evangelical base and that he was sure to win, and in my opinion, God chose to smite Ted Cruz for using His Name so carelessly in earlier contests and we all saw what happened: those evangelical South Carolina voters did not award Cruz even ONE county. Not *ONE* - all of them went to Trump, with the exception of three that went to Marco Rubio.
Now I have absolutely no guilt whatsoever for tying Cruz, Beck and the rest of his crazies in his campaign to the bizarre and risky practices of snake-handlers because just like the venomous proclamations of Cruz’ right hand man Glenn Beck, his campaign constitutes not only a threat to the proper balance between government and religion, his campaign is doing harm to, and is bringing dishonor to the Name of Christ. One FReeper who hasn’t posted after being properly chastised (poster ‘Chauncey Uppercrust’) actually had a tagline that said “Jesus is for Cruz”, and that delusional attitude applies to more than a few posters on this website, in their view Cruz is God’s man of the hour, and Trump is something just short of the Antichrist of Revelation 13. THAT is how polarized Cruz has made this primary race. What has Trump said on the topic of religion? He has said that he is a Christian, raised in the Presbyterian Church and that he would be the “strongest advocate for Christians” if elected. He doesn’t invoke the Name of Jesus, he doesn’t quote Scripture as if he were a preacher in the pulpit as Cruz does, and that is because Trump understands that Americans aren’t looking to elect a preacher, or a pope, or some religious guru, they’re looking to elect a PRESIDENT able to effectively lead this Nation and to act in our best interests.
THAT is what you ought to be praying for tonight, for God to open your eyes to the false prophet right in front of your face, and that’s Rafael Edward “Ted” Cruz.

Well there you go. That’s the true test! I started out as 100% Cruz supporter and donated $$ to him. I also supported Trump, but at first only as a shield for Cruz. Cruz disappointed me though in many ways and I began to get a serious “slimy vibe” that I just couldn’t shake. So I wouldn’t say I dumped Cruz, but did drift away to Trump.
Cruz behavior in three instances have pretty much turned me off permanently. The Ben Carson has left the building fiasco, the Trump is responsible for leftist protesters debacle, and the wife attacks round. In each case, Cruz “cashed the check&spent the money” and then wanted to declare the moral high ground.
I like Trump because what you see is what you get. Ben Carson is by far the raw smartest man on the stage, and he sees what I see. An epic struggle for the soul of the country. Even the ladies on the view made positive Trump comments until bully Joy Bahar pulled them back in line with her unsubstantiated “racist” threats. But hopefully, that crap is just not working any more like it used to.
I am willing to trust Trump as I have not seen anybody (who actually knows him) come out and say he is not trustworthy. I think he will put the pain on our enemies instead of just sending our troops into overly exposed politically correct battlefield disasters like Bush did. Not our job to sort these bastards out anymore.
But I really do think the NeverTrump and Cruzbots are not thinking thier actions thru. Trump is going to win and we need to unify now to prevent a disaster in Hillary 16. Please reconsider. If Cruz is a distant 2nd, do you really believe the GOPe is going to allow him to get the nomination? Cruz needs to cut a deal with Trump now or risk being thrown into the wasteland along with Al Gore, who is he is beginning to remind me of more everyday.
And do not underestimate the destructive power of Glenn Beck. He has slipped into nihilism at this point, and is seemingly willing to do or say anything. Glenn Beck sees himself as a historical figure, and that is why he contemplates and plans all these “events”. I ysed to like Beck, but after about the 10th “new direction” I totally lost interest, and now his anti-Trumpism is hysterical, not historical. Glenn Becks career and perhaps his life is going to end in some crazy grand gesture so we all need to be mentally prepped for it when it comes, and it may come if/when Cruz cuts a deal with Donald Trump.
I think there’s reason to be optimistic for a Cruz win, because past history has shown Republican primary voters in NY usually pick the conservative, and that would be TED CRUZ!
I’m from NY, and I’ll be voting for TED CRUZ, and also be writing letters to editors for Ted, calling talk shows, and volunteering to call my fellow NYers and tell them to vote for Cruz.
