Did someone forget to mark Endorsement Day on the calendar for March 23rd? Jeb Bush tossed in a surprise endorsement of Ted Cruz this morning, and now two other one-time presidential hopefuls in the Republican Party have begun throat-clearing exercises on their potential picks. Former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani, who ran for the nomination in 2008, told a Columbia University audience this week that hes probably going to have to support Donald Trump, less from enthusiasm than from a process of elimination:
Former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani will probably endorse Donald Trump for president, but wants to think about it a little bit more beforehand. The way I look at it, there really are only three people who will be the next president of the United States. Ones Hillary Clinton, the others Donald Trump, and the third is Ted Cruz, he said at a Monday night event hosted by the Columbia University College Republicans on campus.
So Ill choose between those three, he said. Ill give you a hint: it wont be Hillary Clinton. I seriously doubt it will be Ted Cruz. But I just want to think about it a little bit more before I do anything formally.

Rudy will wait until just before the NY primary to give his endorsement.
Trump already has NY. Maybe he will do it in Milwaukee next week for “maximum effect.”
I waited about 6 weeks after I found myself repeatedly defending Trump from trolls. Then I came out and joined the campaign.
Ted/Rudy 2016.
Now that would be a cleaning crew!
Will I hope he does at last endorse. Far better than endorsing the Canadian
So disappointed in Sen Ted

Trump was part of Rudy’s cross-dressing adventure.
What a ringing endorsement! I think that Giuliani might be thinking strategically here. If the convention is deadlocked and goes to through several nominating rounds without a nominee, Rudy might emerge as a compromise candidate. If that might interest him, Rudy would be wise to keep his powder dry and not endorse anyone.
