His Honor was formerly a dermatologist before he got into politics. No doubt he was just bringing his tactile skills back up to date.

What gets me is that the Governor appointed her husband to be the director of the state’s Faith Based initiative and some other religion related programs as well as AmeriCorp. She drove four hours from Tuscaloosa to Montgomery every day to be his advisor. I presume her husband’s office was also in Montgomery. Did they ride together? How could he not know or suspect what his wife was doing? Did they have a failed marriage? An agreement? Was he given that job to buy his silence? Conjecture for sure but since many folks saw them together almost constantly, I’d bet tongues were wagging.

Three young children at home.

I remember his mistress when she was a reporter several years ago in Birmingham. I wonder if she quit her journalism job after meeting Gov. Bentley.

Her husband had to know but may have enjoyed the money and other perks he received from his wife’s relationship with Bentley.

I personally know a couple in their early 50’s and the wife is having an affair with a much older well-to-do man. The wife’s lover pays the couples’ bills and gives her money, so the husband keeps silent and accepts it.

You just never know about people.
