Germany saw a record two million foreigners arrive in 2015 more than the number of asylum seekers who came between 1954-1989. According to the head of the Statistics Agency, however, it could be a conservative estimate.
Numbers released Monday by the German Federal Statistics Office show a massive increase in total migrants from the previous year. In 2014 Germany received some 1.3 million total migrants, increasing by more than 700,000 on 2015.
The Statistics Office asserted that the real figures for 2015 could be even higher than officially reported, however, because far from all migrants who came to the country as asylum seekers have been fully registered.
The head of the agency, Günter Brückner, told Die Welt: The two million figure describes the lower limit. We know that the actual number of foreigners and immigrants is much higher, but we do not know by how much exactly.
The number of asylum applications has been steadily growing in Germany since 2007, but no one could have predicted the steep rise in asylum seekers arriving last year, when the migrant crisis gathered pace.
During the Cold War and the era of the Berlin Wall from 1953 to 1989 Germany saw around 900,000 asylum seekers arrive in total. Last years figures show a doubling of that in just one year.
The period after the fall of the Berlin Wall, from 1990 to 2014, also saw 3.2 million asylum seekers. That could be eclipsed this year according to experts such as noted think tank SAT, which says the worst case scenario number could be as much as 6.4 million by the end of the year.

Throw in family reunification and you’ve really got something.
Watching this will be most instructive.
Be sure you pay attention.

Throw them out of Germany. Let them camp out in the square in the Vaticant.
Auslander Raus!
I cannot believe no one has not sent mechanics to fix Merkel’s car
Mayhap a little payback for the 6 million Jews Germany killed during WWII.
To put this in perspective. Around 400k slaves come here from Africa in about 225 years. Today its about 40 million African Americans descended from them. And they desperately WANTED to assimilate.
We have brought in close to 2 million moslems since 9/11. They dislike us and want us to bend to them. At that rate, in 150 years, we will have about 200 million of them.
If it was just confined to Germany that’s one thing, but they are poisoning the rest of the continent.
That there will be the muscle when the western democratic style governments notion gets reduced to enemies of the state status.
These illiterate animals aren't leaving the Middle East because they like the change of scenery. These are paid and compensated agents of change, Obama style.
“I cannot believe no one has not sent mechanics to fix Merkels car”
LOL! I agree. I don’t know when their next election is but she’ll be toast.
Die Goetterdammerung
By this Summer, thousands of militarily-trained jihadis will have had time to rally up around Germany, equip, cook up explosives, recon targets, and check back in with their contacts.
The Tet Offensive scenario.
If they want. They seem to be calling the shots.
Always wanted to visit Germany.
Oh well......
I have an uneasy feeling that if we are able to take care of the problem here that our young people will one day be bailing Europe out once again. This time from their self destructive liberal tendencies.
This “refugee” import seems like it was forced upon Europe. It makes no sense otherwise.
Islam is a war plan.
It took me years just to get a residency visa for engineering consulting. I had to promise to never use social or medical services and pay the high taxes. Why the heck is it that western countries don’t want skilled engineers crossing borders but hordes of violent uneducated Muslims walk through and get a welfare hammock?
It is now too late for all but the one strategy that the West should have had in the first place: convert these souls to Christianity.
If we could do that, wouldn’t that be something?!
