I noticed the power outlets and internet connection (?) just behind the light on the nightstand.

I spend a lot of time in hotels in many parts of the world and ALWAYS have trouble plugging in devices because the outlets are usually hidden behind pieces of furniture. Any visible connections are on the desk, which usually is not near the bed where our smart phones, serving as alarm clocks, need to be.

That is a planned room taking into account the actual needs of travelers.

People who go to the UK have to understand that the electrical outlets are 220.

SOOOO...you need a converter, or do like I did and make a plug with one live and one ground that fit their plug ins. A converter is better.

I also notice those wonderful heated towel bars they have in UK lodgings. Especially wonderful in damp or chilly weather.
